I was one of 400,000 that lost my internet for almost a week, only to have it replaced by AT&T's POS network. So now my connection drops for 4.5 mbps to 1.5 mbps right? Wrong! Now my connection is almost as slow as dial-up. What a great time to ditch this crappy service. So here's the thing, what should I do? I want as cheap as possible (duh), something always on, but I don't need much speed (rarely use the net at home). Any good services you can think of?

i got service back bout 2 days ago after a week long hiatus, but speeds have been alright. 200+k/s from microsoft

if you buy your modem, it drops your monthly costs to 29.95, but if it's so slow, you may consider DSL. check dslreports.com

I'm on Comcast and never got interrupted...but they placed a 3gig per 3 day limit on our newsgroup access. That makes me mad, that after nearly a year, I have a new limit placed on my access.

I had to pay $100 to replace the modem myself because their new system doens't support it and they suck too much to come out and replace it. Speeds are OK, not great.
