Return email is not mine

For the past several months I have gotten returned email in my junk mail folder that I never sent out. I open the returned mail and find that my return email address has been shown on the original message. One time I tried to change what I thought was the password on the "return" box in properties and it seemed to help but now it's started again. I don't know the senders (there's more than one) nor the recipients. How can I stop this? Oh, and I tried writing to the sender addresses I found and got no response.

Typically changing your login password will resolve the issue. It sounds like someone is sending spam via your account.

Chances are they just have your email address and are faking the headers
to make it look like it came from you.

1) This is the easiest way around Spam filters.
2) Also gets people to read the spam messages
3) Sometimes they will even get people to Reply - this just verifies it's a good email for them to use

Apparently they've succeeded in all three cases :(
