Currently, I'm hooking up the wires to a external AC/DC adapter and pulling a connector plug from my old CD Player so I can get a nice connection. I'm weary about punching a 10cm wide hole in my case, but whatever 
I've tried running this thing off case power, but it doesn't deliver the same speed as my 12v DC adapter.
Here goes nothing....

Excellent, my variable voltage adapter lets me control the fan speed and now all I have to do is plop a hole in the side later.
