I'm not sure the exact name, but this week Target has the Retro looking Vinyl Verbatim cd-r's in 10 packs for 4.99m, with the jewel cases.

A good deal considering how they're not every day discs.

The package has nothing about writing speed tho. Does anyone have any experince with them? I bought a pack, but if they support 40x I will buy a bunch more :)

Well, according to their site, it seems like it only supports up to 16x. Good deal though.

Just so you know, the cool thing about these is that the grooves on the top are actually real (you can feel it):) VERY cool IMO.

Saw these at Best Buy yesterday. Very cool looking, but I had to laugh. I think they're trying to make old people thing that these are optimized for converting old records to cd. Either way kind of interesting.

yes you can... vinyl seats suck ass... just go buy some ricarros w/5pt harnesses

as to replacing vinyl for music.... i still go with yes you can. When i listen to vinyl recordings, the quality is great, but there's this sound in the background that never goes away, a med-high pitch scratching noise, even on new records. My ears are sensitive to high pitched sounds, so I go with CDs to avoid the ambient noise.

OT, but i'm curious. I'm not very knowledgable with street racing nor racing in general, but what 5 points do the 5-point harness cover? i can see 4 - shoulder, shoulder, left hip, right hip, and connecting in the middle of ur chest like other racing harnesses, but where does the fifth connection point go? crotch? (ouch) head? (if thats possible).

They also have them at Buy.com for those without a Target nearby.

I got some for my Father-In-Law for Christmas, he kinda looked at me curiously. I had to explain a little "you put them in the computer. . ."

I guess I'm gonna have to buy some ^_^ This is too cool to pass up! Especially since a "real" company like verbatim is making them, not some no namer.

Hey you might hurt your crotch, but is that worse than having your legs crushed or dying? The anti-sub strap is there to keep you from submarining out from under the other 4 points of the harness when your car comes to a full stop in a fraction of a second. :) Sometimes there's a 6th harness strap: two anti-sub (crotch) straps.

yea with the 6point strap it won't crush your pee pee... hopefully :) what's worse? dying or living but with no chance of having sex ever again?

groovy deal btw
