Retrieving data using external enclosure

I am trying to retrieve data from the HD on my laptop using an external enclosure.

I managed to get everything setup properly but when I connect to my new computer (XP Pro) I can only see the D: partition which is a system restore partition. My data is on the c: partition.

Is there any way to change this?? Even when I explore the drive I still can't find what I'm looking for.
