Hello,
My 6 year-old Barton-based (I know it's old but it lasted 6 years) desktop just died but my HDs seem to be intact. I replaced the old system with a Dell D630 and a docking station. Now I wish to retrieve as much (if not all) of the data off of my old WD2500JB (250GB WD EIDE) and Diamondmax Plus 9 (160 GB ATA/133 Maxtor).
I have done some research and have come up with at least two products that I THINK will allow me to power the drives and interface them with the USB 2.0 ports on the D 630. These are:
SYBA SY-U2SAIDE USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Adapter
and
EIDE/ATA enclosure on ebay
Will either of these do the trick for saving my data? If not, please recommend a better alternative.
Thank you so much ...
