Final: I got 159fsb for 2.544ghz...prime tested....2.560ghz errored out and ran fine when I ran at 1.56v...

So I guess I will see how far it goes at 1.56v so I can tell an asus mobo owner how far he could go at default vcore!!!!;)LOL:Q

Well know that I removed my rather well ocing 1.8@2.61ghz for sell to a buyer I put 1.6 back in and decided to really test it to where it goes at default vcore....

I originally only tested it prior at 150fsb for 2.4ghz and 300mhz ddr (didn;t have my corsair pc3200 yet)

I am currently at 2.480ghz running prime for 2 hours now...I will stop at 3 hours and bump it up a it more...Once I find limit I will run it for 12 hours....I am also running it with 413mhz ddr currently...

I have been doing some research and it appears that most chips once they hit limit at default vcore can only go 150-200mhz more to top out at 1.7v...I have only seen really good numbers with the 1.6's and 1.8's though...

Both my 1.8's followed this to a tee...Wondering since my limit is 2.736ghz if I get to 2.533ghz at default vcore....

For me it is 1.5 set with wire mod to 1.7v....minus -.1v in bios for 1.6v....epox undervolts to 1.53v....prime loads to 1.5-1.49v...But basically 1.53v idle is it...

I can't go any lower the -.1v in bios....

It is lower then any asus mobo!!!!

Load temp is 48c and system is 27c....Both 12v and 5v are tight....

The thing is this hsf really seems to step up as things increase...my load temp for 1.71v and 2.736ghz is only 53c max...with system 29c...

We all know asus anamoly!!!Since asus seems to be the only board reading by far the lowest temps and Gigabyte, Epox, MSI, Abit, and the list goes on read higher makes me think asus is up to old games of skewing the scores!!!!:Q

nothing fishy about it....If the epox didn't undervolt so much I wouldn't need to wire mod....The damn thing undervolts .07v...Leave at default 1.5v in bios and the thing will run at 1.43v in hardware monitor, mbm5.1.9.1 and sandra....

I ran 2.5ghz last night...still going...also still running 400+ mhz ddr at same time!!!! sandra mem score 3140's.... It should still run 400+mhz until about 160fsb with this epox board...

my bg7 and 1.6 are good up to 2.7 at 1.54 volts. This is what the winbond chip reads the voltage as.

Running 2.53ghz right now with the 1.53v and 421mhz ddr....

This chip runs like my 1.8 did in my sis board once the board needs more vcore then default it will only get 200 more mhz within 1.7v

my old p4 1.8a (packing date 12/01)

1.8@2.2ghz (1.53v) asus p4s333 mobo overvolted .03)
1.8@2.45ghz (1.7)

latest 1.8a (6/14/02 packing date)

1.8@2.4ghz (1.53v)
1.8@2.628ghz (1.71v)

so far

1.6a (5/16/02 packing date)

1.6@2.53ghz (1.53v)
1.6@2.736ghz (1.71v)

See a pattern?? I need to look at when 1.6v was needed and look back through all moy notes to see when my other chips need 1.6v and from there are far on average does it go...

Running 2.592ghz as we speak w/ 1.56v...had to go down to 1:1 ratio as my ram doesn't like 432mhz ddr...I am at 2.8v may try 2.9v once I determine fopr sure it is it...Been running quite awhile more now at 1:1 so I think it was the ram either needing more juice or limit...

see i told ya. hes dying to get this board.

its not your ram Duvie - its the board.
did you put AS and a fan on the chipset heatsink?

i was able to get 170fsb 452ddr 100% stable - but with too much vcore.
i only use 2.6v vdimm ~ never any higher.

:)

Yes I put AS2 on it but no fan....

The epox mobo defaults at 2.6v and not 2.5v.....At 1:1 I can run at 2.6-2.7v however just about 390-400 I need 2.7v with this mobo and at 420 I'd better have 2.8v or no go....

It is pretty much the board...Epox (those dumb pricks) undervolt everything so no surprise it takes more voltage to be set to run anything...I have no doubt it is not delivering this...Also the timings like I have said in the past are extremely pciky versus other boards...I have had 2 different brands no so I know it just isn't a bad stick...

I made it 2.592ghz w/ 1.56v so far...going to test for 3 hours...

2.608ghz is chugging along at 1.58v at idle and 1.54v under load...Would run nicely in an asus p4b533 mobo!!!;)

Kock on me would be the ram would likely still be running at a 3:4 ratio!!!:frown: DOOOH!!
