Only retards are offended by the term retard.

I used to work as an instructor for adults with mental retardation. Once when one of them did something astoundingly stupid, I asked incredulously, "what are you, retarded?" He answered "yeah, yeah, yeah" and laughed.

We Todd Ed?

I sometimes refer to things like my computer being retarded for example, but in the same manner of the 80's when people said something was "Bad." So it can be a negative insult to be a compliment I guess in context.

I once heard a mentally disabled guy say "I might be retarded, but I'm not stupid."

It was awesome :D

Remember also the more technical definition of "retard":
"to make slow; delay the development or progress of (an action, process, etc.); hinder or impede."

So when you are a passenger in a car, and the driver is about to hit the car in front of him. Don't say "break!" say "retard!"

I don't give a fuck about being PC. I use the words I want to use. If you don't like it, feel free to kiss my ass.

Depends how you use it.

For example
"That kid with autism seems kinda retarded." (Offensive)
"Those sneakers look retarded on you." (Not Offensive)
"OP is retarded." (Not really non-offensive, or offensive -- just true.) :awe:

What if I saw someone with downs and I was like "yo what's going downs?" would that be offensive?

lol that's pretty good. in all honesty i've never really had a problem with people who have mental retardations. im all for helping those who can't or have a hard time helping themselves. it's mostly the non-retarded people i have a problem with.

One of my most amusing moments was seeing that 55 year old man throw a temper tantrum between the entrance of one of the anchor stores of a mall & the mall hallway. He had seen Christmas decorations in the store and wanted to see Santa Claus.

He was lying on his back in the middle of the floor screaming "I wanna see Santa! I wanna see Santa!" People gave him a LOT of personal space. I was the guy standing about 30 feet away, laughing.

Retarded has a specific definition that matches someone who has retarded learning potential. It's no more offensive than calling a genius advanced. People are stupid fucks, and I refuse to change my language to suit everybody's petty sensibilities.

Here here! I concur (I'm pretty sure I learned that word on these forums many years ago =P)
