I baught a stock computer, and just replaced it with new parts. Heres my specs:

Intel 2.93ghz Celeron
250GB WD
768mb DDR Ram
Chaintech mobo

My problem is my CD drive. I can play cd's fine, I used to work fine on my new mobo but recently, it won't work. When I try to burn files or music only a CD, I can only burn 1 file per cd. If I try to burn 2+ it says: "Error: Please verify that a CD is in the drive and restart"
I have tried CD-R's CD-RW different brands, nothing works, same error. I tryed gonig to the website for a diagnostic tool, but came up with nothing. Here is the specs.

Hitachi-LG
Model: GCC-4521B
S/N: 502HJ1G5530

If anyone can find me anything I can use to fix this, it would be greatly appreceated. Thanks.

Did you do a CLEAN install of the OS when changing the Motherboard?
What OS are you running?

Hitachi-LG?
LG = Lucky Goldstar

There is firmware update for the drive to handle 32X media and DVD media
more reliably.

Oh, and Welcome to the Forums....

Didn't look too hard... how bout googling for GCC-4521B firmware? Looks like several relevant threads and links to different firmwares.
