retaking the SATs tomorrow!

I mainly need to improve on verbal. I want at least above a 600. My math was fine, last time, but I feel I may be able to improve a little.

Last time I took it (a month ago), I got:

560 verbal
700 math
----
1260 total

Not bad. As you can see, verbal needs some work. So wish me luck! It's early (8 am)

I mainly did bad in analogies and so-so in reading comprehension. I've gone through a Kaplan Verbal book, so I feel much more prepared than last time.

HAH! I got 1100 on mine, you're doing JUST FINE.

good luck nevertheless!

I got 1220 the first time I took it and the second time I got 1330. 1260 is a good score. Good luck!

The first time I took it, my verbal was 30 points higher than my math score. The next time I took it, I thought I really sucked, but surprisingly my math score went up 40 points (but my verbal score came down 30, so I only got an overall gain of 10 points).

You'll do better with practice. Good luck!

you'll probably get a bit above 1300 the second time. I still can't believe the average SAT score is 1000, that cracks me up...

i'm administering the SAT II's tomorrow ... (they pay pretty good money, about $80 for about 4 hours worth of work).

I ended up with a 1310 on my SAT's 3 years ago (590 verbal, 720 math).

Good Luck!

i got a 1240 first time. i'm retaking history (got 580 first time 🙁 ) and taking writing for the first time . i did not study at all! i'm screwed

Dont rush any of the questions, thats the best advice. But also be aware of time and not waste it

but keep in mind when people tell you its just a test, its not. its much more than that
It's another test. Now, it is an important one, but it's not "more than a test" by any means. Getting all paranoid about it will make you do worse. Preparation can help your score, despite what some say, also. If anything, you'll know the directions ahead of time so you won't have to worry about reading how to do grid-in math problems while your testing time is ticking away.

I did worse the second time, and that was after taking a free class from my school on "SAT Preparation"...

First time:
760 Math
570 Verbal
= 1320

After focusing on my verbal.
Second Time:
760 Math
540 Verbal
= 1300
LOL 🙂
