Retaining document format in Word

Alright, so I'm trying to amass a bunch of Doc files into one document file. The trouble is, however, that a few of them are in landscape format, so when I put them over into the portrait format of my main document, they do not retain the landscape format and are converted to the main document's page layout, which severely messes up the tables and format within those documents. I know converting it all into a PDF will solve my problem, but I first need this format in Word so I can send it to some people I'm working with so they can edit things freely. My other concern with making it all into a PDF is when I take it to Staples, they're going to be printing it out in all one format, so when it's coming out in portrait, the landscape pages are going to be cut off.

What should I do?

Keep the landscapes and portaits separate, but send them altogether as a zipped file. In fact, I would keep all the docs separate and just zip them together for transmission. That would greatly simplify the recipients editing task.

Unfortunately it is required for a project for a finalized document to have all said documents in one document, so keeping them separate isn't an option.

In that case you had better get busy and reformat them all to the same standard. Who ever made that rule did not think the problem through.

Added: I just spent some time in Word trying to create a doc with mixed page orientation. Bottom line - it can't be done.

So, you probably should change all the docs to landscape. Nothing will be left off - but you will have more pages. For editing the project, that is probably the least amount of work.

Insert a section change the top each page where the orientation changes.

What version of Word are you using?
