Retailer for 1.8" HDDs and enclosures?

I love the portability allowed by 1.8" drives, even if I have to sacrifice some performance. I'm looking to pick one up just to store music, photos, etc., but I can only find super-expensive models on Newegg / Amazon such as Samsung's S1 Mini.

Are there any retailers / etailers that carry just bare drives? 120-250 GB would be ideal, and I'd like to find an enclosure as well.

Thanks.

Hmm, I'm also confused about the drives in general. Do they use standard SATA / PATA connections like any other drive, or are they all proprietary? The laptop I'm ordering can fit two 1.8" drivers (perfect for X18-M and a slow 1.8" HDD for storage), but I want to make sure whatever I buy will be compatible.

They sell adapters to connect them to those standard connectors, so I'm assuming they can be read with standard disk controllers.

usata is a standard sata connector but the power is notched so you don't do a dumbazz and plug a 5v power into a 3.3V device.

you need a (resistor) or power regulator to step it down from the normal 5V.

pata was lif or zif you name it depending on when.

i hear ipod or zune's make good cases for 1.8" drives
