Radeon 8500 retail version with the 275mhz core for $160. Shipping is 14 bones, still a good deal though.

On reseller ratings, they have 2 compuplus entries, one with .com, the other without. I think the compuplus.com one is the one pointing to the website, and it has a bunch of feedbacks.

I can vouch for Comp-u-plus. Ordered 3 times from them, always shipped promptly (used airborne express... I love airborne express...)

Watch out for the SHIPPING and HANDLING charges, and VERIFY CAREFULLY that you are getting the $14 shipping, and not something higher. That is how CompUPlus makes their money. They often have the lowest price available, then rack you up badly on the shipping and "handling". I got "handled" for about $30 worth of shipping for a modem and floppy drive from CompUPlus once. I ordered over the phone, and made the mistake of just asking for "cheapest" shipping and saying go ahead and bill me for that, figuring I would get charged between $5 and $10 like most retailers do. They shipped it 2-day, and charged me about $30 for about 3 pounds worth of items that shipped in one not very large box. I figure the 2-day shipping probably cost them $7-9, so they billed me for $30, rather than giving me the $3 "cheapest" shipping I asked for, and billing me the traditional $6-8 for it. :) Oh yeah, the floppy they sent me didn't work. I called and complained and they were not very helpful, wanted me to pay for return shipping, threatened me with a "re-stocking fee" etc. I think I ended up just eating that floppy drive, as the price of a lesson well learned. I never gave them the chance to "handle" me ever again. :)

I guess you could always use Amex if you're not comfortable with that vendor's reputation. I'm so tempted to get it too. Argh, I have to stop looking here, saving myself into more credit card debt.

I'm confused here. The one in ENPC had dual monitor support while the one in Comp-u-plus doesn't mention it.

So are they the same cards???

Anyways, I just hope they won't send me some 250/250 LE OEM version made by some company in Zimbabwe.

I'm building a computer, and would like to know if I should buy this card or wait for something new to come out.
