This is only a few bucks more than www.tankguys.biz who are still backordered, but who I use as a gauge of "proper" pricing for these things.
tankguys tells me that the e6700s orders have been getting filled (which I what I preordered from them), but that the e6600s are in a very uncertain position right now.
I went ahead and got an e6400 for the time being.... will either ebay it out later or upgrade an older PC with it in the future (though would need another new mobo for that).
