With the recent price drop for AMD processors I'm thinking of buying a retail Duron 800.

Does the retail package come with a heat sink & fan?

If so, is the heat sink & fan any good?

Note, I may want to overclock a bit, but probably won't bother if the cpu is locked.
 
If its a retail unit, it should come with a HSF. Seeing that is a Duron, I don't think that it would come with a good one.

I don't think any of the Duron 800s come unlocked, since they are all produced rather recently. I would suggest unlocking it before doing anything. Just in case you change your mind 😉. Just draw over the L1 bridges on top of the CPU with pencil, conductive pen, or stuff from a defogger kit.
