I ordered this combo the other day. (should be here wed.) I plan on using this in a second PC with 128 megs of PC100 ram.
I was wondering what would be a good/safe overclock for the Celeron 633 with only the Retail Intel Heatsink and fan? or should I take that fan off and get a different one?

I'd get a golden orb. They are not very expensive ($15-$20). Some of the 633's are reaching 950 w/ ease. Try that first because then other components will not be out of spec. Good Luck.

Yah i think the celeron heatsink fan's look crappy and don't fit the best on a slotket. Also the amount of pressure required to get it on made me quite scared. So I ended up bending the clips, and trying it, works great. Just as good as a golden orb really. Its a meaty heatsink.

Unless you're having to run the chip at 1.9V or something, don't worry. The GORB just looks much more impressive. Doesn't really help the stability or anything.

crank it up to 950 at 1.8 and go from there.
