retail c1 chips

I believe that someone mentioned a 1.8A C1 from newegg.

Try doing a search on C1 or 1.8A, 2.0A to see what you get.

Yea. the last 4 characters of the Prod Code tell u what stepping it is.
e.g. Intel 2.4B
XXXXXXX...XXXXXSL6EF is C1
XXXXXXX...XXXXXSL6D7 is B0
For more reference, go to intel.com

Hey guys,

Is there a way to tell the stepping code from the outside of a retail box?

Thanks...

AlienX, can you share a part number? I can't find it on the staples site? I have a coupon I would like to use to save me some money when ordering a 2.4GHz proc from them.

Hmm...sure, but u can't order it online.
u need to make a phone order.
P4 2.4B (FSB 533, 512 Cache)'s part #: IM1573482
I remember its price was 279.xx, so u are better to do a PM =)
good luck

AlienX, thanks for the info. The price is just a little bit more than I am willing to pay for the shot at a good C1 though. I hope you got a good one? How is it working?

yea, the original price is too high...
but after PM + coupon, it is about 146+tax, pretty nice price I would say....actually, it should be lower, the CSR made a mistake...
unfortunately, I don't have a motherboard now...still waiting.....sigh...
