Hi everyone,

I have a retail boxed version of Windows XP pro that I bought when the OS was released.

I have looked at the exchange program on Microsoft.com and unfortunately it seems I don't qualify as it isn't OEM and it's out of the date range anyway.

Is Microsoft running any other exchange programs that I might qualify for? If not, in what other way could I get 64-bit XP? I understand it's not being sold in the stores.

Thanks!

geezwhiz, can some people stop this obsession of every new OS that comes out of MS's barn door. Ask yourself what will be gained under x64 for YOU! It's the coolness factor, isn't it? What part of xp pro 32-bit is bugging you that will be only solved by x64?

My advice is that if you are such a techno trail-blazer and have nowhere else to spend the money and time on, try some variants of Linux in dual installation.

To answer your question as to where to buy x64, search for online retailors that sell it w/ a mousepad or so.

In answer to your question - I spent a lot of money on this Athlon 64 system and as such I intend to use it to its full potential.
