It may be almost overkill for S-754, but if you need the best (standard desktop... there are better mobiles) 754 pin available, this is very cheap.

I got lucky! I had to warranty an Athlon64 3000+ (pins has bent horribly) and they replaced me with a 3700+. I love it! :)

Think this would work on a gigabyte K8NS PRO 754? on the giga-byte website it says 3700 Newcastle 130nm, this is a Clawhammer 130nm.

you can froogle 3700 newcastle and come up with some results. From what I saw though, once you get into the manufacturers web site, none actually say it's a newcastle. All I see is a AMD3700 754.. so, not so sure.

I bought one of these around thanksgiving, works great.

I think the other core they are referring to is the s939 version, s754 is definitely clawhammer
