Retail box Athlon, is the HSF quiet or loud?

Well, I figure, all the good coolers are super expensive and I don't think I'll be overclocking this system, it's being built for my dad, and he wants a quiet computer. I'm wondering about the stock heatsink and fan.. is it loud? I would like to get a taisol but nobody local has them, and since I live in Canada shipping and currency make it expensive to buy online. I like the Alpha pep 66, maybe with a ystech fan, but that would be super expensive here too.. any other reccomendation would be appreciated though, thanks.
 
Since you are not o/c'ing, the retail hsf will keep it cool, and it relatively quiet.
 
I bought the retail at 1200MHz. Seems like my old Glacier that I had on my Pentium. I guess it was pretty much standard though.
 
I just bought a retail 1.4 266 AMD and the heatsink is big but the fan is standard size and very quiet.
