Retail ATi Radeon 9500 PRO IN STOCK @ Newegg!

$198...

Edit: Is this with or without the $20 rebate ATi is offering? Would it be possible to get the rebate form and knock another $20 off, making it $178 with free shipping?

Since the Radeon 9500 PRO can compete with the GeForce4 Ti4600 (read Anand's review), I thought I'd post some of the current Newegg prices for that card:

Aopen GeForce4 TI4600 128MB VIVO 256 Bit Version w/ TV-Out - Retail Box: $222
VGA CHAINTECH GEFORCE4 TI4600 128MB VGA & TV-OUT, DVI OUT. RETAIL BOX: $224
ALBATRON GeForce 4 TI4600 (NVIDIA GeForce4 TI4600 GPU), 128MB DDR. TV-Out. w/ DVI adaptor: $230
VGA LEADTEK|GF4 TI4600 128M DVI/TV BULK : $238
.
.
.
GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GeForce 4 Ti 4600, Twin-DVI, 128MB DDR, VIVO. 2 DVI connectors + 2 CRT adaptors: $264

$198 is what you pay Newegg (free shipping).

Looks like a good deal, have you posted in HD? 😀

BTW, the ATI All-In-Wonder RADEON 9700 PRO 128MB DDR 8X AGP RETAIL is $407 shipped. I'll be interested in this card when it's in the $250 range (where the All-In-Wonder RADEON 8500 is now).

Anyone know when the 9700nonPro is out and for how much? Looks like a nice chance for O/C'ers.

No. I never visit HD!

I think we'll only see Radeon 9500s and 9700s (non-PRO) from "Powered by ATi" companies only.

It's your loss. 😉
HD is an awesome way to support our habit!

And I don't care if it's powered by ATI or not for a 9700(nonpro). I think some of the OEMs will use good memory that will allow their cards to reach pro memory speed.

I don't think I've even once visited HD, in fact I have the forum set not to display by default. I don't suppose any Canadian deals ever pop up?

I was reading the Anand review of the 9500 today and it said that they were on shelves today. So I did a Pricewatch and it says OEM bulk $178 with free shipping!!!!

saw an 9700 non pro here

I checked gigabyte's 9700 and they use 3.6ns memory. Assuming all manufacturers use the same memory, I think it's gonna be hard to go past 9700 pro speeds, maybe with some luck.

Whats with this BULK Pack? Will we get the same card and drivers for support? Warrenty? I also notice PowerCooler had one for $180. Can we say Radeon 9500 Pro Round-Up?

Rarely, but that's why we have
GoldFishLegs and RedFlagDeals

Love those two sites.

It will be IMPOSSIBLE to go past PRO speeds. I have Radeon 9700 with 3.6ns RAM and it craps out at anything higher than 275MHz which is what 3.6ns is rated for.

hehe it goes down to $404 shipped in the cart, ordered one this morning🙂

Maybe not, retail 8500's had 3.6 ns ram, and overclocked above that in most cases, maybe a voltage mod or similar is necissary....probably not "impossible".
