Title says it all. My A7V333 using PC Probe reports the CPU Fan at around 1700RPM and the Probe is always alerting.

It's alarming for a reason. I run the retail HSF on my 1700+ @ 1800+, and the fan spins at ~5000RPM.

i use retail hsf on my 1700+, looking at the MBM log in about the lats 32 hours or so my fan has ranged from 4440 to 4687 rpms. have you tried plugging the fan into another fan header on the mobo?

if you have the guts and the know-how, try removing the yellow wire from the 3-pin block so that you can power the fan using a molex->3wire connector but still connect the yellow wire to your mobo for a tach reading.

i cant believe i said know-how

Well after playing around with the Qfan feature in the BIOS and moving it to a different header about five times it decided to work (report correctly). It now reports approximately 4600RPM. I wish I knew why but it works so to hell with it.

Thanks for all the replies.
