how PNA works is it uses your home phonelines (and doesn't tye up the phoneline) as its cables so you don'thave to run rj-45 cables all though your house, all you have to do is plug it too the phoneline. and to make it even more easier it comes with cds that setup everyting for you :)

How is it outdated? This is a fine solution for networking
multiple desktops/servers within a home. Especially if you use
it with the Panasonic Concourse Gateway, which will allow you
to network wireless, ethernet and HPNA networked computers through
a single gateway...

HPNA 2.0 provides 10mbps, which is essentially the same as wireless.
Not as good as ethernet, but many people don't want to string
ethernet throughout their home...

i'm bought these card (sould be here in 3days) i don't really like my wireless cards there very slow (if they work at all)i have these same cards in the 1mb flavor and like then but they were just to slow. I have heard alot of very good things about these 10mbs cards from my friends that have them. hopefully these will work well:)

Quick question........... Can this be an option for splitting DSL between computers instead of using a hub/rj-45 cables?? Thanks in advance.

Get the Panasonic Concourse Gateway, and you can share a DSL/Cable
connection with any computers connected to the gateway connects
to HPNA, ethernet and wireless simultaneously, so any computer with
any of these connections can use the same DSL/Cable connection.

Alternatively, you can buy a standard gateway, along with a box
that will let you attach your HPNA network to the gateway. But
it's more of a pain and will cost you more...
