Resume with office XP

Don't use the resume template. People will look at it, see that it was made with Word and throw it away. Make your own template and or resume up. But who cares? The earth is gonna end in 2014.

Create a résumé
On the File menu, click New.
In the New Document task pane, under New from template, click General Templates.
Click the Other Documents tab.
Double-click Résumé Wizard.
If you do not see this wizard in the Templates dialog box, you might need to install it.

Follow the steps in the wizard.

This is from the help section of office xp, I didn't realize I haven't used it for xp either.

Go to the library and get a resume book.

Read it

write your own.

I re did my resume from a word format.

I wrote it from scratch and I got alot more responces.

Of all the recruiters, HR personnel, resume writing professionals, and other hiring managers I've spoken to, resume scanning software does not do well with templates. They all recommend doing it from scratch.
