Resume Templates

I'm graduating with a BS in Biotech this semester and need to actively start looking for a job now. I've updated the contents of my resume and polished it up with the help of my school's career development office. The thing is the design is horrid and after looking online for some templates they seem to be reasonably priced ($5-10). I'm just wondering if any of you have used any specific company and if so which and what was you're experience/satisfaction with them.

Are underlined "Education" and "Experience" sections that difficult?

MS Office has a pile you can dload for free.

All it is , is an organized outline. Someone elses template will rarely work for both you andthe prospective employer.
I personally think too much ismade of the format if these things.
Keep it short, sweet, and relevant. i also like to include a brief cover letter stating my intent

Hmm, I didn't know office included some. I'll check those out. I just wanted a template to make it look more polished / organized. I'm not very artistic so what I've created, according to some of my friends, looks too bland.

My suggestion would be to look at the free templates (either in Office or online), and then use concepts from a few of them to design your own. That was a recommendation I got from the Career Services office when I was in College. Fast forward to a few years later and I'm in a position where, from time to time, I review resumes for new hires, and it honestly helps get the attention of the person reading them. It's boring to see 100 of the same exact MS Office Resume template over and over again. Add your own character to it.
