Hey everyone.
Im looking at getting a job with a company that does a lot of work with film (digital cleanup etc). They have a lot of jobs for people who dont have any computer experience at all since it is basically point and click with all the new software thats out. There are jobs for more advance work but I would have to learn everything on the job. They also have in house computer techs who keep everything running.
I have a buddy who can get me a job there but I'd like to list my computer skills that i are self taught. I figure this will give me and edge over people who have no knowledge in this field at all.
I worked for 2 yrs with my uncle fixing home computers etc and have built about 20 custom desktops including my own. I have also setup up my own home network and am have done windows troubleshooting for all the computers I have built. Obviously I am not an expert but I do know alot more then the average person and am a very good googler 🙂.
Heres what I have so far (not much) in listing my computer skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Operating systems: DOS; Windows XP, 2000, 98, 95
Application software: MS Office XP,2000, 98, 95; Adobe Photoshop; MS Paint; Acdsee;
Computer Hardware: Hard drive; Peripherals
Can you guys give me some good things I could list for computer hardware? I wouldnt mind getting a job doing the computer tech support for the offices.
