I graduated last year with a BS in Biology; obviously, that's going on my resume. But should I include the 72 credits I have at a different school when I was going for a BA there? (most of the 72 credits didn't transfer over to anything when I did transfer).

If you want your employer to ask about it/see the transcript, then include it. This might happen if the school is a good school, if you got good grades, or if you had classes there relevant to the job you are applying for. Otherwise, you could leave it off. Most likely it'll be a non-issue and you should instead focus on the more important resume issues.

I do this. I complete the resume. Then I make an educational history, I forgot what I title that. Maybe, "coursework completed." I then write the course number, title, and number of units for each going from left to right. Each new course is typed underneath the other. Then I add up the units and write the sum at the bottom. This I label undergraduate work.

Then I do the same thing, but list my graduate classes. Then I total up credits for graduate work and give that figure. And finally a total of all credits completed.

That is called a transcript, and if they want that information, they'll ask you for an official copy stamped by the university. Otherwise, they don't want that information at all. Putting the classes like that on a resume is just useless garbage.

I earned 61 credits at a community college before transferring and earning my B.S.. All credits transferred except like three. So I just put the name of the community college, the dates, and in bullet points: the fact that I did general education there, my GPA, and that I was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

Actually that is not a transcript. It's an educational history or coursework completed. It is 2 or 3 pages and is easy to read at a glance. My transcripts are 30 or 40 pages plus and take a considerable amount of time to review.

You will also note that I said, "I complete the resume. Then I make an educational history..." The educational history or coursework completed is a separate document which is included with the resume. This is in line with university standards for placement files. I never said to type this information into your resume.

dullard I've posted some additional resume tips here on another thread if you find them useful.[http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...&STARTPAGE=2&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear]
