Should your resume only show information for the specific type of job that you are looking for?

I saw an ad on the local paper for a part time job that has nothing to do with what I have experience with but they want a resume sent in.

So I?m not sure if I should re-write it just for that job.

You should always tailor your resume to the job you're applying for.

Stock, generic resumes are easily identifiable. You need yours to stand out from the masses.

So here is the deal, my resume is setup for a technical job... networking, tech support and the part time job i saw was for a librarian assistant just to catalog books and videos and help with checkout.

I need extra cash so the job is on weekends so it sounded like a good deal.

I work and type at the same time, thats why sometimes what i write don't make sense.

3-5pm i'm off the phones. I get half hour for lunch and two 15 minute breaks and if its not busy then i'm on here.

You need a resume for that?
