I have 6 years of experience. 5 years of that is all in one industry (project management), the latest year is import/export sales (my friend owns a company).

If I'm looking for a new job in project management, how would you present the resume?
a) omit the latest yet irrelevant sales job (then they'll wonder the 1 yr gap?)
b) just list it chronologically
c) list it in order of relevance/importance, sales goes at lowest (looks weird)

If I'm looking for other sales job, I guess b) applies.

General rule is chronologically. At the very least this will show them that you are well rounded in your job experiences and can adapt to new opportunities (assuming you also spin it that way)

Put the non-related experience in condensed form (position, company, brief point(s) of responsibility). Keep it short and to the point.

Have the more relevant experience expanded, listing more detail highlighting skills relevant to the position you are applying for.

Personally, I'd list the experience in order of relevance. If you're applying for a project management position highlight and expand on that experience. Sales? highlight and expand on that experience instead. Tailor the resume to the position.
