Resume...for the Army?

The Army wants my resume along with my application. I'm absolutely clueless as to what to put down. I have a standard resume with work experience, CS experience, computer experience, refereneces, qualifications, education, etc.

I'm trying to go into the communications research area of the armed forces, so I imagine including my computer related experience/knowledge would be a good idea. Would it be worth including my web development experience, despite it having little to do with the "job"?

Suggestions? I know the bullets are messed up, I'll fix those.

I have absolutely no idea. I've got a little folder which has my application, on the back there's a checklist that, well, lists all the stuff I need to give them.

Birth Certificate or Canadian Citizenship
Official Education Transcripts
Social Insurance Card
Canadian Forces Employment Application
Personnel Screening Consent and Authorization Form
Preparation for Interview Form
References Form
Preparing for your Medical
Resume

Oh it's the Canadian Army. Put down that you have extensive experience in wielding sticks, rocks, moose antlers, and snowballs.

I hope you rewrite something, because your "extensive knowledge in computer science" surely doesn't demonstrate itself in Microsoft Office and Open Office.

Is there a problem with the formatting of my resume that I should be aware of?

Don't forget the hockey sticks. Compared to a standard wooden "stick" they are far deadlier.

UNIX != Linux
Debian != UNIX

Computer Science is capitalized.

You say you have CS experience, but list no programming language or theory based CS work.

Did they order a 2nd tank that we do not know about or something?

Are you kidding? Due to a massive military buildup, Canada now has:

The tank
A modified old Chevy (donated by an anonymous farmer because it was too rusty)
A prop plane from 1939. May need an engine.
4 guys with shotguns, but they don't have ammo yet.

Well, yeah, but it's important not to forget the brigades of moose they can call up in case of an emergency. And Dudley Do-Right. :thumbsup:

Even a cat can tell that Office != comp sci. That kind of blantant padding is frown upon.

There is no padding on my resume. Office and OO are listed under word processing, for good reason. These are programs which are pretty much required for any desk job, or any job that requires use of a computer.

Good catch. I figured since Linux was based on UNIX, I could put that down instead. Now that you mention it, I'd rather no go in with them thinking I know UNIX and have it turn out that I don't. Fixed that. As for CS experience, I figured I'd leave out any programming language, but I suppose that defeats the purpose of a resume. Adding it in now. Thanks!

Why did you build computers for people with spare time?

Despite being a Nazi about everything related to English, I missed that completely. Another thanks!

If going for the marines stick with words of 4 letters or less.
