I've been planning on getting an international internship starting next year. The areas I'm looking to work in are Asia (China, Japan, and HK) and UK. I'll be searching for jobs through my school's internship office and also have plans to attend a career fair this Fall for positions in Japan.

Here's my current resume:

I think it still needs alot of work, and I've been floating an idea of redesigning the layout and scheme. I'd love to get some input. Thanks!

GPA is important to show for internships, no? At least the companies that recruit at my school give it a lot of weight.

For internships, GPA is a big deal if you lack the work experience. But if you do have the experience, putting it down wouldn't hurt either.

Get FoxItReader, and PDFs will be considerably less-annoying.

It loads faster than Word, so even a DOC file wouldn't be good competition.

Do you have any layout software like InDesign or Acrobat? I'd do my resume in that, since you can lay it out a lot more precise and make it look real slick.

Here's mine from a while back. Recruiters always could remember it due to the style.

Edit: You also never explained what kind of position you were looking for.

InDesign or Acrobat sounds like a good idea. I used Word 2003 and it was a bit limiting on placing graphics.

My overall GPA is 3.14, so I'm not sure if that's good enough to list it. I'm looking for anything from software development to business process analyst. I'm leaning more towards analyst, consulting though.
