What do you want to do in IT? IT is such a broad topic. Do you want to work with networks? Program? Tech Support? Mention what you want. :)

i am not sure what i want to do, thats why i want to have an general title for now.

DO you all think i should list coursework in there? Someone told me that college students should keep the resume < 1 page. True?

It's my opinion that most EVERYONE should have no more than a one page resume.

I figured in the order of importance, whatever i can fit on one page.

1. objective
2. Education - Projects
3. Work experience
4. Skills
5. Honors and awards (for college students)
6. Current/completed course work. (do they really care what classes you take?)

i don't really have anyone to put down for refereneces, since i don't want my current employer to know about me sending out my resume, eventho i am only an intern there.

your currently an intern looking for another internship at the same time? or for next year?

the way i structure my resume is i always have what i feel is strongest on down. i.e. my skills are my best assest, then projects, then school since I go to a big name school then past work experience since i've only interned.

it seems like your resume is a little short, i mean i have got more experience in my field than you do in yours and i am only a junior in college. i highly recommend writing a little bit more on your experiences and academic projects. font size and bolt face matters too, but i guess its hard to portray here. i highly recommend going to an resume expert. if you are in school, it should be free, if not its well worth the money. believe me. if you had an office ic phi kappa phi, list that too.

I can list some of my classe in there, but that would make it over one page. I am still trying to decide if it should be over a page or not.. maybe i'll make a poll.

i'd say if you're applying for an entry level job or internship, put down academics on top, because thats most likely what you'll be judged on. if you're going for a higher than entry level position, put your work experience and skills first, because those will be more important for that kind of job

Cover letter please. In my opinion, if you're applying as an IT, you really need to tell them how you can be an asset to them and whichever position you're applying you tell them your expertise in what they're looking for.

actually most companies ask you not to send a CV - the HR people are usually hiring for a special position and look for the matching keywords on the resume

According to our school, unless requested by the organization, cover letter are not necessary.

Your school is dumb. Always send a cover letter unless the company specifically says not to.

what size font are you using? i am using 8 point font on a 05 inch margin all around. it should fit fine in one page. dont worry about things not standing out, thats what bold face time is for, to raise attention to your experiences, and then the people looking at your resume will read on the description
