Restricted phone numbers

This might be a dumb question, but an old friend recently called and left me a message on my cell phone. The message asked me to call back him back when I had the opportunity. Of course, he calls from a restricted line and forgets to leave me his phone number.

Is there any way I can find this person's number? I probably know the answer to this, but I just wanted to see if there was something I could do. Would the number appear as "restricted" on the cell phone bill?

yeah, it'll appear as restricted or out of air or unavailable on the bill

Since you know his name....look in a phone book/white pages online?
