Restoring the Registry in XP

so I got a laptop that had a troj_zlob.bze in it (one of my friends laptop). he ran the trend micro thing to get rid of it, and when it didnt work brought it to me. I went to the trend micro page and printed out the solution, followed the directions and now when you log in it gets to the desktop and immediately logs out back to the log in screen. The only thing i did was a few registry edits, andI backed it up to a file in the c:\temp folder. Is there a good (aka easy) way to restore the registry from a command prompt? Ive done it from inside windows, but never from a command. anyone else have an idea for me?

ok, yall can all call me a bonehead for a day or two. When i got the solution to fix the trojan, I got the wrong one. it was a .bvp not a .bze. I hooked him up to a laptop I have for messing around, went in remotely to the registry and undid what i did the first time. way easier than restoring the registry.
