Restoring RAID HDD image to SSD

I'm currently running two HDD's in RAID0 but I'm thinking of upgrading to a single SSD. It'd be nice to not have to reinstall everything and set everything up the way I want it. Is it feasible to make an image of my OS, even if it's configured as RAID 0, and restore it to the new SSD drive when I get it or is that not recommended.

i know that acronis 2011 can do it easily. you might have to change a few registry settings afterwards, to enable TRIM and so forth. so as long as it all fits onto your SSD, you shouldn't have a problem.

Is trim enabled by default? I would think it is...

C:\Windows\system32>fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify
DisableDeleteNotify = 0

Honestly, I just went from RAID 0 to a single SSD and it took me literally 3 hours to do a clean install and put everything back on my new SSD.

3 hours is not a long time and will ensure you have system properly set up for your SSD.
