fdisk /mbr

it will load your OS on your active partition, getting rid of any boot managers

this is what i do, when dual botting between win2k and linux

when i install linux, the win2k boot manager gets over written, if possible try this

load the computer up with the boot discs or hte CD-Rom, choose recovery, choose recovery console (drops you into a command prompt, might have to enter your admin password here though)

try these 2 commands

fdisk /mbr
and
fixboot

should work

there is a article and winmag.com i think that details a bit better those steps.

zaqo,

Doing a sys c: after booting from a Windows cd will work just fine. It worked for me!
