Restoring .gho file from DVD to partition?

Situation is

1. Made a image of a partition from Ghost 8.2 from DOS and saved to different partition
2. Burned .gho file to a DVD


Now I'm trying to restore from DVD. but I get "this image was not created with ghost" error when I select DVD from Ghost.

Only solution I found was to copy the .gho file to a partition and then restore from it.. any way to restore directly from DVD?

You were supposed to make the DVD a bootable Ghost DVD
when you created it. You can not just take the .GHO files and
burn to DVD and expect it to work. What you can do now, if
you need to restore the system, is put the CD with Norton Ghost
in to boot up into Ghost. Then swap the disc and tell ghost to restore
from the DVD drive.
