Last week I had to do a format/reinstall to remedy an ailing Windows 98 install (lost a memory module and it took down nearly the entire Win install). Reinstall and data files recovery from CD-RW went fine, but I'm stuck on one issue - how do I restore the Outlook Express 5.5 newsgroup files that end in .dbx?
I've tried copying them into the respective folders (Windows/Application Data/Identities/alpha-numeric identifier/Microsoft/Outlook Express) but they don't show up, even after shutting down OE and rebooting. Does anyone know how I can get these dbx files back into Outlook Express (and use them)?
