I copied a friends hard drive(not an image)
anyway he was using outlook express in windows 2000 and I have given him his old hd with xp on it reformatted of course
my questions are what files do I copy to get his email back to the way it was before the upgrade
needed are inbox outbox deleted and contacts and sent items
Thanks

I'm a little confused about the process you went through. You upgraded the his OS copy, and then returned the HD?

You should be able to import the old messages / account settings. This provides instructions on how to import the various items (address book, messages, settings, etc) from other programs.

no I copied his hard drive then formated it and installed xp on it and gave it back to him
now I need to restore his email
