Restore gamma after game crash

Is there a program or a trick to fix the gamma in Windows after a game crashes? Right now rebooting seems to be the only way to fix it if restarting the game and quitting doesn't work.

depends on video card but this might help a little.

right click on desktop, properties, settings, advanced properties - click on the tab that says your card's name and there you should find a color tab or something that will let you do it.
