Restore freebsd to bootloader?

I had FreeBSD running on my system and then installed Ubuntu 10.10. The bootloader installed by Ubuntu (Grub 2?) doesn't seem to be able to see or at least not able to boot the FreeBSD system.

A quick search online shows that there's a known problem, but I don't really know enough to get BSD running again.

Any ideas?
