i work at a liquor store here in the states, so i'll try to make some suggestions... however you are in canada so you may not be able to get some of the brands i mention

get a 750ml bottle of Maker's Mark (about $18)
get a 1.75L bottle of Bacardi Light Rum (about $25)
get 2 1.75L bottles of Barton's Vodka (about $10 each)
get a 1.75L bottle of Canadian Mist Whiskey (about $15)
get a 1.75L bottle of Seagram's Gin (about $20)
get a 1L bottle of Sauza White Tequila (about $12)

ok so for the liquor total comes to $110... now for mixers

get 4 gallons of orange juice (about $8)
get 12 two liters of soda... say 8 coke, 2 sprite, 1 ginger ale, and 1 orange (about $12)
get 2 1.75L bottles of Daily's Sweet and Sour Mix (about $10)
get 1 1.75L bottle of Daily's Strawberry Daquiri/Margarita Mix (about $5)

ok so all the mixers come to $35...

spend the last $5 on ice and you will be good to go...

the OJ will be good w/ the gin and vodka, coke good w/ just about anything, sprite and ginger ale for gin, Sweet and Sour for making whiskey sours (you can substitute in a 1.75L bottle of margarita mix if you want, only difference between it and sweet and sour is a fake triple sec flavoring), strawberry daquiri mix for... well strawberry daquiri's w/ gin and strawberry margaritas w/ tequila...

the orange soda is so at the end of the night when the hard core people are still up... it's a good chaser for shooting the left over tequila

this list is mainly based on what most of my friends and i drink, obviously substitute anything you need for something you don't, or add and subtract quanities

oh, and dammit, i was doing this in USD, not CAD, so you might have to scale back on some of the sizes for the prices to fit... hope i helped!

<< Yeah but the pre-made mix is hard to find in the mini bottles. My favorite hard alchohol! >>

Hrm....sucks....around here I've found both LIT and Kamikaze cocktail available in ready-mixed bottles fairly easily. Great when going to a BYO party....you can keep a hard drink or 4 on you at all times, not have to donate half your booz to people you don't know, and when the well runs try, you can magically whip another flask out of your pocket and save the day...

Chartreuse!!! It is a green liqueur made by Monks in France with an overwhelming minty flavor. It is great for sipping and taking in the sites.
