Top of the Marriott Marquis has a restaurant that last time I was there was on a rotating platform that offered views of the whole city. Food was nothing to write home about, but great (albeit touristy) ambiance.

That said, there are way too many good restaurants in NYC to base the decision on solely the view. I'd suggest checking out NY Magazine's restaurant section on their website.

Well, it would be like Top of the Hub in Boston then. Great view, not so great food.

yeah, that's what I'm wondering. I can't imagine that such places have memorable, much less passable food.

I can get the whole ambiance thing, but I'd much rather be in a dank shithole with a table under a staircase and be served excellent food.

Haven't u heard? Zeze is a baller now with his new $75k/year job.

Cost isn't that big. I went to Coach Insignia on top of the RenCen a few weeks ago, pretty similarly priced menu, spent $250 with two bottles of wine. It was a good experience. Best caesar salad I've ever had. And no, this isn't really relevant to NYC.

lol, internet response. Who is this assclown with a stick up his ass?

More like 95K~ if you knew how to read what was plainly typed. Don't get jelly, I don't talk to pedestrians like you. ;)

I've seen your threads. For some reason, most of them tend to be frustrated anger taking out on various social issues that won't improve your shitty angry life in any shape or form.

But go on, if it makes you feel better, keyboard warrior.

Oh wait, I forgot. I went to A Voce Columbus over the summer and loved it. It's a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Time Warner Building overlooking Columbus Circle. No, it's not like Per Se upstairs, but it is delicious, has a great view, and excellent ambiance. the Michelin-star rating should tell you enough about the quality of the meal.

I've realized city view restaurants in NYC = batshit expensive, at least Top of the Hub is manageable ($120-150 final bill).

A Voce looks great and it has 3 $ rating, not 4 or 5 on yelp. Thanks!

Man, this thread just makes me realize I really need to get back to NYC and pound out some restaurants. So many things I want to eat there. :hmm:
