Anyone recommend some good places to eat and visit in Austin, TX? I'll be there for a few days and I like all types of food.

Thanks!

If you have a car - Salt Lick (BBQ) or Oasis (Mexican). Both are more than worth the drive.

Oasis - http://www.oasis-austin.com/
Salt Lick - http://www.saltlickbbq.com/

Iron Works - best BBQ beef ribs I've ever had.
Hula Hut - good food (Mexian), right on the water
Freebirds - if you're in a hurry, great California-style burriots
Late night - Magnolia Grill or Kirbey Lane
Trudy's - good Mexican, great drinks
Kyoto - good sushi

We went there once and tipped zero on a $150 bill. Food was pretty good, but worst service I had in the three years I was in Austin. The waitress was so hard to find we finally started going to the bar & refilling our drinks ourselves, also went to the kitchen to ask about a missing item from our order.

Thai Passion is average... Madam Mams is okay, relatively cheap and tasty. Yeah as others suggested Rudy's, mmm moist brisket. I really liked Bistro 88, it's a bit pricey but not too bad and the food was really good. Desserts were awesome as well. Yeah and Din Ho was a staple for me back in college. Pan fried crispy noodles ftw!

I'll second the recommendations for:

Hula Hut
Rudy's
Salt Lick (although it's not technically in Austin, it's worth the drive IMO)
Chuy's

Texadelphia was good, but you don't really get much for your money there. The sandwiches are pretty small.

Stay away from poke-e-joes.

Get the Mag Mud (or Mag's Mudslide, can't remember the name). It's pretty much an awesome queso dip.

Don't forget Kerby Lane (similar to Magnolias)

And as other's have said:

Chuy's (Tex Mex)
Rudy's Country store (BBQ)
County Line (All you can eat BBQ)
Salt Lick (All you can eat BBQ, though kinda far)
