when i run my CD burning program Sony's B's recorder gold and my computer will restart. It onmly does this for this one specific program and only when i have my 256ddr ram in. It runs fine when I have my 256 sd ram and yes my motherboard is capable of both types. I have another bruning program that works fine buti don't like it as much so im really annoyed at this and wantto figure wout what is wrong please help!!!
 
JBTele, from what you've posted it most likely the DDR Ram. Have you tried different stick of DDR RAM to see if it's the RAM itself?
 
No i havn't tried any other DDR sticks I guess I will have to I just thought it was odd that it's only this one program it happens with.

You'd be surprised of the type of problems a "faulty" stick of RAM could cause. The reason I suggest you try another stick of DDR RAM is because you said that you don't have problems w/ the SDRAM. Let us know how it turns out.
