How are you doing i'm new to these forums so be nice to me just kidding, well i just put together this new computer with the asus a7v8x motherboard everything set to default in bios. I recently had some problem with some memory I bought from a dealer which was a pc2700 module in which i would get a blue screen saying memory management error, so i returned the memory and got a another stick. The computer know seems to work fine............but once and a while for now reason for example i might start fs2002 and then the computer restarts automatically or i might put a cd in and the computer restarts itself................................AND SOMETIMES.................i turn on the computer to the desktop screen everthing loaded up and it restarts itself again................................I can't seem to find the problem is it a hardware issue or a software issue cause this happen on my other hardrive i also i have removable hard drive tray................It has to be either the memory again or the motherboard............................COULD YOU GUYS give me some ideas or could you recommend another motherboard that is KT400 WITH AN 8x agp port......................................ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
CLUE: ALSO ORIGINALLY WHEN I WAS USING A PC2100 stick of 256 ram before i bought the pc2700 ram it was doing the same thing..................could it be a wiring problem i did.......................

The symptoms you describe are almost always caused by the power supply. Check that out - try a different one, or try unplugging some devices (lots of drives in there). I noticed you have 500W, but it's the brand and quality that count.
