Hi guys (and gals):

I've had this board for a couple of years. It is a great board. It has the Mobile XP2600+ chip in there right now. When I "restart" the computer, it hangs. If I turn it off, and then turn it on again, no problem. I used to be able to OC the chip to 2.5Gig with 1.725VCore. I flashed the bios to the latest bios, and then all this started. I flashed it back and still the same. I thought it was the CPU, but I can still OC to 2.4Gig at 1.65VCore. I'm happier at this setting because of lower heat level. Anyway, is my board dying? Maybe problems with the capacitors? Anyone with similar problems in the past? Thanks for your input.

Soumds like the CPU is OK.

I'd prolly run memtest86 to check the ram.

I'm also suspicious of the PSU. Try another if you can. Or put Motherboard Monitor on there and use the "sys log" feature to record voltage and temp readings every second. Elect to have this written to a text.doc. Afterward, go into the text.doc and have look for any voltage fluctuations.

Good Luck with it.

Thanks Fern. I've been out of town for a while. I'll go with your recommendation. If anyone else has an input, don't be shy. :) Thanks. Have a nice evening.
