EDIT: And since I know people will ask, it was a car accident, and they were actually going to my house to pick me up.

Nope, Sober. Had the day off for MLK Day and were going to go out and have a good time since we were all home from college. 12 Noon also, no snow, dry, just making bad decisions.

So what was the cause of the crash, if you don't mind my asking?

I'm sorry to hear that. My sister lost a lot of friends in high school about 6 years ago, and I watched her and her friends go through it all.

I'll fill everyone in. But be respectful, I know they were doing something stupid, I don't need to hear that.

My friends were in a 1998 Dodge Avenger traveling at a high rate of speed (112mph) when they crested a hill in the country. This particular hill was basically a instant drop off. The car was airborn for 95 feet. When the car landed, the front hit first, snapping the frame. The car then skipped, and hit my then-girlfriend's grandfather head on (Jeep Commanche truck). Both vehicles rolled into a field. When the fire department showed up, my best friend(R.C.) was screaming for help. I lived in a very small town, and we only had a volunteer fire department. A friend of mine on the department walked up to the car and my buddy asked for help. The car was so mangled that nothing could be done. Our fire deparment doesn't have the Jaws Of Life, so R.C. was stuck. Shortly after they got there, the car caught on fire. My friend on the department said that 2 people died on impact, one in the fire. None of them were expected to survive the accident (Probably a few mins before R.C. would have died from his injuries even if they could have got him out.)

Other driver survived and is doing fine today

That sucks.

One of my neighbors(Ken) bought a car from his friend(Jay). They were both in it. Since it was Ken's first car, he decided to hit a country road and go fast. Unfortunately, he forgot about the railroad tracks. Same thing happened. Went airborn. I feal sorry for Jay the most. Ken had a crushed skull and died in Jay's arms. Just sucks to think about it because it's sad and was preventable. This was about 1992.

One of the two times I went to school, walked in the building and there was nothing but silence.
