Resources to make sure my system is running at peak performance

Where can I look for info on how to get the best performance out of my system? (See my sig for components).

I am not really interested in overclocking, but would like info in these areas:

BIOS: System performance.....run at Normal, Fast, Fastest, Turbo?
BIOS: How to make sure my AGP slot is running at the right multiplier (2x, 4x)?

PS I will be adding another stick of 256 DDR memory.
