So I didn't do an Upgrade, but I installed Windows 7 Prof over Windows XP.
Windows 7 created a windows.old folder that is quite massive--basically has all the crap I had on XP.
Not so good. All the games I had installed on this 1TB HDD are failing to start up, due to failure of registries and/or DirectX errors.
Because they're in a separate folder than Windows7, the Add/Remove Program tool doesn't recognize them as existing, so I effectively have deadspace on my hdd.
How do I rectify this? Is it possible I can reclaim the space by deleting the game folders, or will that just create a permanent hole in my hard drive space?
A parting thank you to all good fellows who with me have the journey since accompanied.
